A solar-powered rest stop built from two reused Stadium 974 containers. Free prayer rooms, restrooms and Wi-Fi for travelers, paid rest capsules, and a rooftop tower that telecom operators rent.

What's inside
Everything travelers need on a long empty stretch, in one 30 m² unit. Essentials are free; the capsules and the tower pay for them.
Free for every traveler
Prayer roomsSeparate rooms for men and women, about 5 people each. The women's room has its own outside door.
RestroomsMen's and women's restrooms at the far end, each opening straight to the outside. A utility room and an outdoor wudu (ablution) station sit between them and the prayer rooms.
Wi-Fi and loungeAir-conditioned seating with free internet, a vending machine, and a mobile signal where there was none.
Paid comfort

Telecom hostingOperators rent antenna space on the shared tower under long contracts. This steady income keeps the essentials free.
How it runs off-grid
Solar canopy and batteriesThe canopy makes power and shades the roof. Panels are cleaned with dry brushes, no water.
WaterAn air-to-water unit adds drinking water. Tankers fill the restroom tank and empty the sealed wastewater tank; sensors report levels.AWG baseline 7.9 L/day
On wheelsEach container rides on its own road trailer. If a site underperforms, the station is towed to a better one. The canopy folds and the tower mast comes down for transport.
Minaret towerA rooftop tower shaped like a Najdi minaret holds antennas for several operators.
Station status
What the remote-monitoring dashboard tracks, so the station can run without full-time staff.
Simulated readings for the demo. In a real station these come from the tank, battery and solar sensors.
